Crazy Lace Agate is also called Mexican Agate as it's found exclusively in Chihuahua, Northern Mexico. It is a banded variety of Chalcedony, a member of the Quartz group. Evidence found suggests crazy lace agate was used as an amulet by Mexico's earliest inhabitants for courage and endurance during battle.
Metaphysically, it is known as the stone of happiness and laughter. It is a protection stone that is said to ward off the evil eye, stimulate feelings of joy and optimism, promote composure and inner-stability, improve self-confidence and self-acceptance, as well as improve focus and decision making.
