Angelite is the trade name commonly given to a blue variety of Anhydrite that is found in Peru. It is a calcium sulfate mineral that has an orthorhombic crystal system and a hardness of 3.5. It has a soft blue colour and tends to form in nodules.
Metaphysically, Angelite is said to act as an anchoring talisman for the energies of one's guardian angels, guides and other spirit friends. Carrying, wearing or just being near Angelite is believed to provide one with a focal point of connection for receiving love and guidance. Angelite stones emanate serenity and benevolence and these are the energies being constantly broadcast through them to assist us.
